AMACULT

Cultural Systems, Folk Religion and Modernization in the Amazon (AMACULT) was a three year (2007-2010) research project funded by the Academy of Finland and executed by researchers at the University of Turku and University of Helsinki in Finland.

The project focused on people's interpretations of the processes of modernization among three Amazonian groups: the Brazilian Manchinery people and the Yine and mestizo populations of Peruvian Amazonia.
